Say hello to The Filter - Rotating seasonally so you never get bored
At the moment we have on offer a wonderful coffee out of Burundi.
Some further detail:
Migoti Coffee Company was founded in 2015 by engineers Dan and Pontien with a focus on strengthening coffee-producing communities through transparent supply chains, better processing infrastructure, and new income opportunities beyond coffee.
Kigina natural coffee is processed at the Kinama Washing Station in Ntahangwa Commune, Bujumbura Mairie. Operational since 2022, the station added a wet mill and warehouse in 2023 and now processes around 60 tons of green coffee annually from 92 farmers on Kigina Hill. This lot is a microlot, separated from the main harvest after showing a distinct and exceptional flavour profile.
One of the station's most dedicated contributors is Gaspard Nahimana, 58, who began farming coffee in 2015. He tends 3,800 trees at 1,730 masl and delivers around 250 kg of cherries each season. Coffee income has funded his children's education — one is currently at university — and he plans to grow his farm to 5,000 productive trees.
